Cassidy Spohn, MA, LAC Cassidy aims to help individuals identify their strengths and to utilize them to work through life’s difficulties. Since earning a master's degree in clinical counseling at Centenary University, Cassidy has gained experience throughout residential, intensive outpatient, acute partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings, working with adolescents and adults. Cassidy is passionate about working with individuals who are seeking to improve their ability to cope with symptoms associated with various mood issues such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and grief. Cassidy also has an interest in working with those struggling with disordered eating and problematic relationships with substances. She hopes to assist in strengthening interpersonal relationships, communication and boundaries, self-esteem, and family dynamics. Cassidy’s clients would describe her as a therapist who approaches clients with non-judgmental warmth. She implements strategies from various therapeutic modalities to meet the client where they are, including skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and person-centered approaches. Cassidy is LGBTQ+ affirming and strives to foster an environment in which each individual feels free to be their true self.
